Biography & Vision

Prof. Dr. Evren Yildirim received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Engineering from METU and earned his Ph.D. from the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). He is currently the Director of the AI & Autonomous Systems Research Laboratory. His research focuses on explainable AI (XAI), deep reinforcement learning, autonomous decision systems, and algorithmic ethics. He has published over 85 peer-reviewed papers with 4,800+ citations.
